Hey everyone... I have so many questions this first week of being raw! I am planing on sticking with Alissa's plan for the first week and probably for the next three weeks. This week I need to make Pad Thai with calls for 4 cups mung bean sprouts. When I looked at the sprouting chart it says you soak them for 8 hours then the sprouting time is 4-5 days! So I have to wait four or five days until I make pad thai?! If so, I guess that is fine. I just didn't realize I needed to prepare four or five days in advance. Also, how much beans should I soak to receive four cups of sprouts?

hi--sorry I cant answer your questions about the specifics of what amount of beans to sprout to get 4 cups, etc, but I just wanted to suggest you may want to just buy the sprouts for this recipe the first time so that youre not having to wait so long. Mung bean sprouts are usually cheap and readily available at supermarkets and health food stores.

Hey there! You are running into the same problem I did when I first started. I would see these great recipes and realize I didn't have stuff sprouted. Check Alissa's chart. I believe that two cups of beans will equal four cups of sprouts. Check her chart though...
