Anyone have a recipe for a raw chocolate bar? I tried to do a search, but I keep getting error messages. I'd love to try my hand at making some.

I mix cacoa powder, artisana coconut butter, and agave nectar and put it in the refridgerator for a few minutes. Looks really smooth and melts in your mouth. :)

My whole family loved it. Amberly had mentioned it in another thread (thanks Amberly). My 16yo son wants it with mint next time. We also dipped a few strawberries in it (before it hardened). I did find that I had to mix it every minute for the first 5 minutes (until it got really thick) to keep the aguave and coconut butter from separating. I can see this leading to many new and tasty things!:D

Ooooohhh...I must try it with mint.
On raw the possibilities are endless!!!
What are the chances we would be making our own delicious chololate bars under any other circumstances?

Uh-Oh, are we supposed to measure? Just kidding MMo4. I honestly rarely measure, basically I made a very small batch the first time and will try to keep better track next time. Things I did note- not much cocoa needed, aguave sweetens it quickly so taste as you add. My family tends to like it less sweet than maybe some others would. Sorry I couldn't help more. Really just get started you can't go wrong, just add more of what you need to get a good balance. Also, it hardens really quickly once in a cool place. Good luck, let me know what kind of measurements you come up with.

Can coconut oil be used instead of coconut butter?? I am CRAVING chocolate. There is also a recipe for fudge here somewhere. I know it uses almond butter (I make my own grinding the nut and adding alittle water, or maybe tahini to cream it!) and then the coconut oil, agave (or honey...I use this) and coco powder (of course you could use carob.) This was an excellent recipe that seemed to hold it's firmness alittle longer than just using coco butter...even though I stored it in the fridge. If your interested, I can look for my recipe. Oh yeah, I also stirred in chopped cashews or another nut into my "fudge" and gave it that homemade nutty fudge style.
