I want fresh coconuts. I see how so many talk about how great the Thai one is but the only thing I can get locally is the old and I mean old brown ones. I would not mind them if they were fresh. There r other fruits I would love to try but living in the cold north it is out of the question to ever find it.
Is there any place online that sells these kinds of fruits? I have done searches with no luck.
Thanks

Well alot of these places sell the fruit on a seasonal basis. But try www.diamondorganics.com , www.nutsonline.com, or www.bulkfoods.com www.highvibe.com and www.naturalzing.com are two other good sites.

Where in the north are you? I'm in Ontario, Canada, and I just asked the large grocery store in town (Loblaws) to order me some, and they came in within a couple of days.

Asking your local grocery store or health food store to carry them is probably your best option. I would imagine that shipping for young coconuts would be ridiculously expensive.
I live in a rural area, and even my local grocery store stocks them now. They even let me buy them by the case for a discount.

Are those the thai coconuts or the regular brown ones. Does it make a difference or is it just that it needs to be in the outer wrap. I have seen coconuts that the outer shell was broken so decided they must be old.
I have had the good fortune when I lived in Fl to be able to drink fresh coconut milk and there sure is a big difference from the ones I had tried that were older ones.
Thanks for your replies on this. I will ask the local health food store if they can get some for me. I just need to know what to ask for. Anyone want to help me with this?
I live in northern Wis. In a small town that does not carry that good of a selection due to people just not eating the way they should. Lots of overweight people here and I am one of them but my weight is slowly moving down on the scale.:D
