Hi, I am pretty new on this site. I was wondering is anyone knows whether drinking almond milk or soy milk is recomended on a raw food diet? I have been raw for almost a week and have had great success so far. 5lbs lost.!! :)

Nope. Soymilk isn't raw. I don' think you can even eat raw soybeans. Too bad cause it does taste good. The almond milk you get it most stores isn't raw either. It's easy to make it at home though. Just soak, blend, and strain.
Yummy. :)

Soymilk is definitely not raw. I'm pretty sure the almond milks at stores aren't either because they must be pasturized to be sold I THINK. You can always make raw almond milk at home though.

Thanks for the info guys! Now I have to start making my own milk... dang!
Yep, you'll have to make it- but it looks really easy with maraw's raw nut milk maker (http://www.therawtable.com/tools2.htm).
I'm thinking about getting it.

Wilmie, just add carob and some sweetener (agave nectar, honey, stevia or dates) to your almond milk and maybe you won't miss the carob soy milk. ;) Maybe some vanilla extract to it too.
