Ok -- I went to the store yesterday to stock up for the week and to set myself up fpr success. Spent this AM getting it all organized...to start raw tomorrow...
I was doing so well before the holidays and then went haywire -- stopped going to to gym, etc. Now I am tired, sluggish, mind in a fog, feeling like things are overwhelming me that normally would not.
I keep telling myself that this is the best thing for me! It has worked so well in the past. I thank everyone here and Alissa for all of their support. I am so impressed and amazed with the people that I have encountered on this board -- with their diets, lives, interests, etc. Some of the reasons why I keep coming back!!!

First all - welcome back!
Second - did you get rid of all the CRAP/SAD food in your house?
Third - just remember how well you feel eating raw and how miserable and tired you feel eating SAD.
Fourth - keep coming back her for motivation and support.
You CAN do this. You've done it before.

moonstar... I too slipped up a bit.. all last week I allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted to and didn't exercise at all! Previous to that I was eating at least 80 - 90% raw...
for me, it helps to read and re-read raw food books to help remind me WHY I'm eating raw.. to be healthy and fit! When I stopped remembering that and starting making it more about a number game (losing weight) .. that's when I slipped up!
Try keeping things around to help keep you on track like writing notes to yourself and putting them on the bathroom mirror or sign up for jinjee and storms' daily raw inspiration email at www.gardendiet.com. That way you'll be reminded constantly that raw is the best way!

Even as I'm reading your post, I've got Alissa's DVD on my player going.
Bless you for "coming back"...I am too!
Pulled the book off the shelf and Popped the DVD in the player....great for motivation to get back to and STAY raw.
You've got my prayers and support as well.

You guys are sooooo cool.....:-)
For me, this week begins Lent -- so I am planning to use the time for discernment about my life and to focus on raw (amongst other things).
This website is so cool -- I love reading about people's various spiritual journeys down the "'path". I have gained so much insight about people's beliefs and experiences -- it is so interesting.

I see that you are on day 37 of a fast. What kind of fast are you doing? How has it been?

Moonstar, I admire your strength and will !
As far as my fasting, I've worked into a all water fasting. It started as dilluted juices. Today I feel like a CHAMP! I report my progress in the fasting thread. YOu are so more than welcome to hop on---even if for 1 day.

You GO, girl.
Be proud of yourself for taking the initial steps.
Listen to that inner voice - even when the temptations come.
Come here often for ideas/support - it's been a rock for me!
Feel the change and smile as it comes. :)
