Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if this is a normal occurence when one goes raw. I have been feeling extremely tired, so much so, I abruptly took some days off of work this past week and even this monday. I have been in bed for 3 days, I literally wake up eat a little something and then pass out. The first day when I began feeling this way, I was full of rage, I kept crying and sleeping. I locked myself in a room and today I feel much better. I still have a headache. I clocked the amount of hours I slept and OMG!! Let's just say I have been sleeping 20 hours a day. What was that about???!!

I still feel sore (as if a truck ran me over), but my mood is slightly improving, yet, I have this deep depressing feeling, I can still cry at a whim. Also, my period has been messed up. It has been spotting for a week and a half and then nothing. I guess it can be hormones that are driving me wild?? I have NEVER been like this in my life, and now am worried if this is not detox, then I need medical attention.

Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad - but this does sound like detox.... I've had similar symptoms on fasts myself and I've read many posts by others who have experienced similar. Be kind to yourself, rest when you need to and maybe search and read some more just to reassure yourself. Drink lots of water too.... Are you eating a lot of fruit? You'll have a more intense detox with high fruit. To slow it down a little, try including more vegetables and fats - nuts, avocados, raw oils.

Are you eliminating well - make sure you're having regular bm's, enemas are useful.

Hope you feel better very soon :)

Go to a doctor and have other possibilities ruled out. You may need to find an alternative type. Please be sure. The cost of missing time from work is more than the cost of seeing a doctor.

Before making any kind of suggestions ~ WHAT are you eating/drinking? How long have you been "raw"? What does being "raw" mean to you? What's a 3-day menu look like? Are you eating any meat, wheat, dairy? Drinking liquor? Smoking cigarettes? Detoxing from cigarettes, liquor, drugs of any kind including otc?

If you are experiencing difficult symptomology, then you need to revert back to a slower level of eating that you are very comfortable with.......until you have an easier time where you can stretch from there. If you still have problems - see your medical professional.

I feel the same way when I do juice fasts. I just ride it out. It passes.

Thanks for the feedback. What was I eating? Well I was having a fruit in the mornings, salad at lunch, nuts and seeds for snacks, and for dinner another salad, or sushi rolls. If I felt hungry I would eat more fruit or nut butter.

Since that last post, I had eaten some protein (chicken) and felt better. I think my body needs to detox slowly. I went back to work the very next day and have been feeling much better. :D I am know eating 70 percent raw.

I will go back 100 percent, since I also have another issue with my hormones to contend with. RAW allowed me to detox and get my period!! I suffer from PCOS and I have found a sustainable lifestyle to normalize my levels. But the mental and physical fatigue is too much to bear for me at this time.

Raw is the way to go.......hope I can achieve it this year!

Thanks again, lots of love to you all!:)
