Since I'm new in the raw food world, I thought I'd ask everyone's opinion:

Do you recommend purchasing a spiral food slicer, such as the Spirooli or Saladacco? If so, where did you buy your spiral food slicer/where can I purchase one?

Thanks!

I havent determined if I should get one or not - but Alissa sells one in her store and it seems like a lot of others here like it...

one newbie to another - welcome :)

Spirooli is my vote for #1 choice although I have. They have gotten outrageous expensive and under a new name which I can't remember.

I have the spirooli and I like it. I like the thicker strands. It also has a potato chip blade.

I personally love the Spirooli. I had the Saladacco & did not like it at all. The Spirooli has different blades for different cuts...but what I love the best about it is the noodles are thicker like spegetti. It is much easier to use also.

spirooli: very thick spaghetti strands - ideal for heavy tomato or cheese type sauces, marinated veggies, etc.

saladacco: very thin, angel hair strands - ideal for very light sauces, or dressings, or used on things like carrots/beets as a salad topping.

If you are a gadget queen as myself, you might want to own both! :p
