Ordinarily, I trek out to Cambridge and go to the Coop there for my raw essentials e.g. raw tahini, honey, etc.
Today it's COLD and icy out there. There's a Whole Foods that's much more convenient. Anyone shop there for raw stuff? Worth the trip?
Thanks in advance for any insight!

I've only been to Whole Foods twice, but it was definately worth the trip each time! I am in love with that store!

I know they have amazing stuff... but... raw stuff? The "specialty" stuff? DH is starting a 30 day challenge today. Want to be sure to have some decent transition recipes on hand for him.

every Whole Foods is Different. Mine back at home has no "specialty food" except raw cacao, and MAYBE some raw agave. At the Whole FOods in NYC, there is a whole section with raw goodies--- it just depends! Maybe call...?

I was going to say the same thing. Each W.F. is different in what they carry. I like whole foods. I can get some of the speciality items for raw recipes but I also can get "really" raw honey, raw nut butters (yep. the good raw ones), agave, pure maple syrup, lara bars, etc. Mine does not carry raw packaged items though.

As always thanks! I called and they do sell that stuff. WOO HOO! It's less than 3 miles from here.

I love WF but very pricey. I have another store that has lots of the same stuff, but not the salad bar or the atmosphere and can save tons of $ going there. Enjoy the journey and for convenience it is surely worth shopping WF.

I shop at whole foods 98% of the time, just cause it's the closest to my house, so it's convenient. But it's always more expensive than anywhere else, esp. since I am cooking for 3 people still, and my raw stuff-it adds up. :o
