I just have to say, I am LOVING this stuff! I couldn't really stand it before raw, now I am eating tons of it! every time I eat it I feel so satisfied and mellow-so HAPPY. I must really need the minerals for balancing out my brain chemicals-this is better than sugar ever was! I'm just so geeked that eating a natural, raw plant food can make me feel so happy..... :p

YAY! I just wanted to say that I share the love. I have tried sund-dried dulse and kombu (kelp) and just absolutely love the....now if only the stuff wasn't so expensive! I have to ration it out to make it last when I can get my hands on it. I happen to know that I will be getting a little baggy of it for Valentine's Day tomorrow! shh I am not supposed to remember that.lol

We should have a seaweed lovers club :D

I love them, too! sometimes I feel like I'm growing an unhealthy addiction to them though since I tend to eat more, when I add them in, hehe.

Yummy yummy seaweed. I like to buy bags of Maine Coast's laver and just munch it as is. So yummy.
I love wakame, dulse, and nori sheets too.

Me too! I am going sea weed crazy. Everyday I am having salad with kelp wrapped up in Nori. Also I have been having 2 whole blenders full of spirulina smoothie. :D

Ready to leave work and have some more!!!!!

I was raised in New Zealand and Australia on vegemite on toast. Since moving to the USA I have really missed my vegemite and could never find it in stores here. A couple of weeks ago I tried Dulse out of curiosity and there it was ! the vegemite taste I have missed so much. I am not much of a hand at creating dishes although I am attempting to put together a pate or spread which keeps that strong salty flavour...any ideas?

Aloha

Sea weed is so good for us! If the salt thing is getting too much, I know it can be soaked for a bit and rinsed, and then dehydrated if we want it crunchy again-but salt is actually necessary in the diet. This one doctor has been helping people cure themselves with nothing but drinking water with a little sea salt in it-he says that we need the minerals in the sea salt to keep the water in our bodies-without it the water can't be taken up by the cells. I guess with eating sea weed, like everything, we just have to listen to our body!
