I've been shopping at my local asian store today, and I was looking for sushi nori. However, all the different varieties of it were roasted. Is nori not a raw food, or is there a hard to find raw version out there?
Also, off topic, are spring roll wrappers raw?

I believe Alissa sells it on her website store (untoasted nori). Also some health food stores carry it. I get mine at a macrobiotic health food store since it is a common staple in their diet.

Look for "dried" nori. That's the non-roasted kind. Most Asian markets should have it. It's usually a little more expensive than the roasted kind.
Spring roll wrappers are, unfortunately, not raw. However, there are some great raw recipes that use thinly spread and dehydrated bananas as wrappers. Yum!

I never knew about dry nori. Will pay attention to that next time I go to the Asian market. :D
