Sprouting Buckwheat for Alissa's pizza

It says 2 cups sprouted buckwheat. Does that mean
1. Sprout the Buckwheat & then measure out 2 cups or
2. Measure 2 cups of Buckwheat & then sprout it.

I'm right in the middle of making this & I'm not sure what to do. :-)

It is measured after sprouting. There is a sprouting chart in Alissa's book that will tell you how much buckwheat you'll need to make 2 cups. It is right before the recipe section.

Eilene, I always sprout alittle more....then whatever is leftover, put in the dehydrator (plain) and dehydrate for buckwheat cereal. ;)
