I'm tempted to buy it... but I'm wondering how it would compare to a vitamix..and I already have a great blender and food processor.. but I woudln't mind something I could make *really* smooth soups in that would come out warm... (my blender doesn't make things REALLY smooth).
what do you think?

The Jack Lalanne and th Vitamix both have a 2 Horsepower motor so the power should be similar...the price is amazing...now I'm tempted too!

Blendtec has a 3 horsepower motor..those films are hilarious.
I'm looking at Jack again and I notice the shape of the container is less narrow and may be easier to get food out of after it's made...hmmm...
I have the K tec aka Blend Tec. My husband HATES it because it is so loud. It does make very smooth soups although I rarely make them as I like my soups thick and chunky. It does a heck of a job at pulverizing greens in smoothies though. I got my right from K tec. I think the NEWEST vitamix is supposed to actually be better than the K tec total blender.
