I started eating raw about 3 weeks ago and the physical and mental change is wonderful. I'm starting to fit in to my jeans again ( had my baby 5 months ago) and I'm sleeping so much better. I've lost 9lbs and I love it. But, my problem is that I look slimer since starting eating raw and yet the scale stops at 141. Can someone please help me understand why I'm visually losing weight but not on the scale? ? ? ?

I don't know much about weight loss but I have had this also. First raw I bloated up because of the digestive change. Then started getting trimmer but no weight loss. Then lost lots of weight but didn't need new clothes yet. I am not 100% and so my weight is fluctuating quite a bit. Maybe you are losing toxin bloat? I can't say water weight cause water weighs alot. I just know that from being raw I have learned that wheat and cheese really make me just blow up.

Peace and Blessings Paris,

I’m sure you are losing inches that’s why you can visually see the results. I wouldn’t worry about the weight. When eating raw your body will adjust to the correct weight it needs to be at. Focus on being healthy and having lots of energy. That’s the only thing you should be concerned with. :)

Because muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up half the space!

Throw that scale away and go by the visual. You're losing fat, but gaining muscle. It's a good thing!

while muscle does weigh more than fat, unless you are increasing your exercise I wouldn't think that was the answer. IF it's just a matter of dimensions changing it is possible that your body is working to redistribute unhealthy tissue in preparation of getting rid of it. Hang in there. You are doing great.

Oh- and if you are in fact working out then it is likely that you are putting on muscle.

Because scales are evil things. Don't worry about the numbers. Like calories. Don't calorie count. Just enjoy eating raw and dropping inches. I think we are all brainwashed to look too closely at numbers. Enjoy the jeans. Enjoy the raw.

Ha! I haven't lost any weight for 2 months now, despite exersicing almost every day. But I have lost inches and I feel so much more toned. Then suddenly, today my scale showed less!

It will come!
