Recipe Forum

Maybe I'm out of line suggesting this, but would it be possible for a moderator to start a Recipe forum? There are so many wonderful recipes on this site, but not easy to find when looking for something specific. Perhaps the forum could be divided into categories, similar to a recipe book (i.e. Salads, Dressings, Desserts, Cookies, Pies, Entrees, etc.) Then when someone posts a recipe, it would be posted in the proper category in the Recipe forum. That would make it so much easier to find.

Right now, I am searching for cookie recipes and I know there are many posted in RFT, but where to find them all? It seems to me it would be a great addition to this site.

Any opinions on this?

This may sound like a stupid reply but this part of "Raw food talk" is called.....

"Raw Recipes and Raw Food Preparation"

There are mostly recipes in this section. I have no problem finding recipes. Click on the search function and you can choose which area (click on advanced then you can search by forum) you want to search in and what words,....

If you want to find specific recipes here's another way you can do it (this works with ANY website). Go to google.com and click on the link to the right of the box that says "advanced search". In the top box "with all of the words" put in the search words. In the box where it says "domain" (10 lines down) put in the domain name... www. whatever.com -- then click "google search" (next to top box).

I have a problem doing a search...and the search pulls up TONS of threads of people TALKING about a certain food, and then you have to search for an hour to find a recipe. It would be nice to have a recipe ONLY forum, and then a special "search" button just for that thread....so if I do a search for
"chocolate cookies".....it will pull up a recipe for that. Ya know???

I use the search bar a lot here to find recipes. If I look for granola I come up with a slew for example which could be breakfast ideas. Pizza, lasagna, lasagne, also, but lots of variety with just the search bar words. Search works for me great.

However my suggestion is when people talk about the beautiful photo seen at our photo site, they give us the link AND MESSAGE #. It helps me bunches.

I love the way the site is set up and having it into categories may be tough as sometimes people post different catgegory of recipes could be challenge. Sometimes people think it should be in one category and really would be better in another one. I know there are groups online that do the category thing however. Just my 2 cents.
