My favorite food to fix fast right now is mangos and kiwi -- all cut up and mixed together, they are FABULOUS!!! (Hey, another word that starts with an "f" :)) I've been eating it every morning (sometimes afternoons too) for the past few weeks now. Yum!

I'd love to hear what you're all eating for you quick foods right now.

Currently? It's Cucumber and tomato gazpacho (fresh soup).

Chuck in the food processor:

1 cucumber, 2 tomatoes, squeeze of lime, chopped red peppers. Blend until soupy. (save some chopped tomatoes or peppers for visual appeal)

sprinkle with a bit of jalapeno if desired.

Fruit smoothies, yum yum.

You know? If you throw in some spinach or some romaine leaves in a fruit smoothie, you can't even taste the "green" and you'll be eating more greens then you thought possible.

Kiwi and mango? I have never tried that combination. It sounds yummy! I love kiwi, but have never mixed it with anything. Darn it, I live too far from a grocery store to just make a quick trip for fruit. *sighs* I guess I will have to wait until my scheduled trip (tomorrow).

My favorite quick food right now is frozen banana smoothie with young coconut water, soaked almonds and cinnamon, and I do add some sort of greens to it usually. It fills me up for hours!

JGex, try mixing in some diced sweet onion and a little EVOO. This is a dish loved among the Hispanic community here in S. Fla.

My favorite fast fix right now is green smoothies. Gotta love um. :D

Wow, I never thought of that, thanks for the tip I'm gonna try it in my morning smoothy tomorow (sure will make getting more greens easier, something I've been wanting to do) :D

my brownies

1 cup walnuts (not soaked
1 cup medjool dates (not soaked, pitted)
1/4 cup cacao powder, or carob powder

blend in food processor until holds together when squeezed, if it doesn't hold together, then blend a little longer

push down into the bottom of a 6 by 6 pyrex pan, and place into the freezer or frige until it sets up a little stiff, then cut into 16 squares, and pop into a zip lock baggy and into the freezer, other wise you will eat them all before you put them away. LOL

these are my ultimate favorite recipe

as far as simple foods

pineapple spears, mmmmmmm can't beat pineapple for tasting wonderful any time of the year.

Mine's the same as GJex. Avocado halves with lemon juice, sea salt and pepper. It's great when I feel really hungry and need to fill a hole!

Apple with cashew butter is very quick, too!

WOW, those brownies are the best!! Thank you! I rolled them into balls and put them in the fridge. (but ate far more than I care to admit!) I used raw carob powder, btw, and still very yummy.

I am so hooked...I wiz up in FP some cauliflower-place in bowl.

Wiz up parsley/cilantro-place in bowl-I will add fresh mint if I have it-or I add some dried mint...

Add olive oil, lemon, black olives, cayenne & curry- I am HOOKed on curry- I put it in EVERYTHING...taste-then maybe salt & pepper..enjoy :)

My other total addiction is Alissa's Broccoli soup or Maraw's Avo/curry soup that I tested- I have either one or the other daily..YUM :D
