I made Coonlie's gorgeous mint creme brownies today. I used to LOVE mint creme milk chocolate. At one time, I ate a 500gm block everyday!

Here is the problem: it feels WRONG to eat it. It's delicious, and I feel as if I've fallen off the wagon. I read all these books 'and now you can eat your cake for breakfast', 'eat those desserts without any guilt', etc., but I really feel guilty.

Does everyone think these desserts are really OK, or are they more for the very occasional treat? I particularly want my skin to clear up on raw. Am I putting it at risk eating desserts like this? (no offense Coonlie, I think it is a fabulous creation!!!!!).

Sorry, I know this sounds lame, but fruit on its own feels healthy (and yummy), so do vegetables, but desserts like this...I really can't believe it's still good for you. What does everyone think? Do you all eat your fabulous creations with a guilt-free conscience, and do you all think these fruit/nut-carb/fat mixed desserts are OK? (Please say yes ha ha, only kidding).

Look, I really am serious about this. In the forum I go to here in Australia, there is a lot fo discussion about the mixing of fruits with nuts. I am sure EVERYONE could comment on this one. Do you feel that your desserts are really healthy, eat them for breakfast, etc., or are they still occasional treats? Do you prefer to keep your fruits alone, or is all raw in any combination good?

Are you eating enough fruit meals? Eating plenty of plain fresh fruit will help you not to crave all the dense stuff. Fill up on fruit!

P.S. Although my opinion may not be popular in the raw food world, many nut and oil heavy recipes are so high in fat, that they are only good for an ocassional indulgence, but they are (in my opinon again) not nourishing of conducive to health. If anything they just keep you from eating cooked.
