Hi, Razzleberry!

I was wondering the same thing!

I am planning to prepare an all-raw romantic dinner for my husband for Valentine's Day. I am going to try the Burrito/taco/tortilla things from Raw Food Real World book and maybe make the chocolate mousse from the same book, serve it in nice fluted glasses. I'd like to do some kind of entre, haven't decided on that yet. I really lie finger food. I'd do a soup, but I still like soups warm rather than cold...
Maybe something hearty like tacos should be followed by something light and refreshing like a sorbet...

I'm also planning Easter. One of my children is dairy intolerant, and I am so excited to be able to offer him an Easter egg this year!! I made Coonlie's Mint Creme Fudge today, and the cremem part would be great as strawberry creme, too.

BTW, are you in New Zealand? Fairygirl is there for the next few months. Her recipes look amazing, and she seems really nice. Let me know if you'd like to get in touch with her!

the almond cherry chewies i posted a few days ago are pink when the cherries are mixed in. there is also a recipe for valentine hearts cookies i am planning to try in living cuisine, it calls for using raspberries and beets if that helps you concoct your own...

as far as the meal, i plan on using the morroccan idea of using only your fingers to eat, kinda sexy...

best of life, meredith

harpstruck, if you like your soup warmer, just prepare it early on and throw it in the dehydrator for a bit. I haven't tried it, it wouldn't be piping hot, but I would think it would be warmer than when you first made it.

Hello~ My name is Julie and I live in Indiana. I've been following a raw diet for nearly 2 years (April). During this time, I've fallen off the wagon in Dec. 2006 and Jan. 2007. My personality is extreme. All or nothing! So, I've recommitted myself and I am back at it 100%! This is where I need to be. During the first 9 months of going raw I lost 90 pounds!!!!!! I've kept it off, until I started eating junk (even though it was Vegan junk). I now have to loose 15-20 pounds to get back to where I was.... nothing is worse than having to do it TWICE!!!! The valentine ideas here are great!!! I am glad to see so many creative ideas! One simple thought my husband had was a plate full of cut up red peppers, red apples, red grapes, red pears, tomatoes, etc. Also, I buy strawberries and make a wonderful pink fruit dip and then dip the strawberries in it. I also use a chocolate dip! Sorta romantic....and all RAW!!! I look forward to getting to know everyone here. Happy eating!!!
