Lately I've been experiencing weird random dizzy spells. They don't seem to be brought on by anything I'm doing/not doing at the time. For example when it hits I'm usually sitting down peacefully, and not in the least bit hungry, thirsty or low blood sugar.
I've had this in the (SAD) past, and that was when I was pregnant. I wonder if it could be low iron? If that's the case, what do I need to be eating to fix this?

Let's look at this from a 'process of elimination' angle. I suppose you have tested yourself to see if, indeed, you are not pregnant again?
If not, it's something to eliminate.
Have you had any ear aches lately? Been swimming? Could this be an inner ear problem that is affecting your equilibrium as well?
Dizziness could also be caused by dehydration, sinus pressure and headaches. Had your blood pressure checked? you could go to any pharmacy and use their automated machines to do that.
Do you have pressure behind your eyes? Have you been taking any antibiotics or any other perscription medication, over-the-counters even?
I know this is a lot of questions, but it's a way to narrow it down.
Just as a side note, as a true nurse, if there is anything that may possibly be wrong, I would urge you to see your primary health care provider (whether it may be a traditional MD or a naturopathic healer).
But I am willing to help as much as I can. :)

Could you be getting the flu? I'm just finally recovering from it. Lasted about a week with me and my first symptom was odd dizziness.
