I'm eating more salads (yay!) and have been using spinach mostly...
yesterday I used some baby bok choy and that was pretty good, though I mixed it with other stuff so I couldn't really tell you what it tastes like alone..

so give me some great greens to start trying!!!

I'm excited about greens!!

p.s. No bitter greens please! ;)

I'm also noticing that when I go back to those bagged mixes of greens, I don't really like them.. they have no FLAVOR to me anymore! Cause I bought a prepared bag of mixed greens the other day and made a salad for myself with it and blech.. it just wasn't tasty.

my current favorites (separately) are collard greens (for fun veggie wraps) and ARUGULA! for awesome salads And i blended arugula greens into a spicy homemade red pepper marinara tonight and filled it inside a giant yellow pepper..

Right now I eat the grocery bagged field greens mixed with spinach and a romaine mixture. I live about 1.5 hours from the nearest Wild Oats or World Foods. So, this will do me for now.

Thanks for the great Web-site on the different varieties of lettuce and how to grow them. Maybe this spring I will try my luck. We usually put a garden in but I haven't had much luck in the past with lettuces. It is usually to late when I sow the seed and it bolts because it's too hot. This year though, I do have a spot ready from last fall, to sow some lettuce seeds early. Around here most people sow them around Valentines Day which isn't far off.

I was mad for greens tonight! The first time I've ever craved them. I had a mixed salad of baby spinach, and chards

I really like microgreens of veggies and I add them to everything for extra nutrition and because they're pretty...I eat better if stuff is happy looking. For 1.99 I get a huge container and it lasts all week. Basically broccilii and other veggies sprouted to be a week old. Hubby likes the baby romaine as it is crisper and has a sweetness to it.

Baby bok choy sounds gooood, Luna. I need to find that!
