I ordered food last week from Pure Raw Cafe & it was fabulous!!! The Tacos were amazing. I would love to get the recipe for the refried beads. They were unbelievable. These were better than SAD tacos. The Egg Salad was also fantastic...it was made with macadamia nuts instead of cashews. It was soooo good. What do you think would be the difference in taste & texture between the cashews & macadamia nuts. I'm about to make the Egg-less Egg Salad now & I am just curious.

Thanks! :-)

How many meals were you able to get out of the order?

I've been so curious about this place!

I was thinking of taking a week off at home and to add this to the mix would be perfect and such a gift of time and good food.

Thank you! :)

I really prefer the cashew but it's all a matter of taste...maybe it's because the macs never make it to the processer they're so good as they are.

I think for me it isn't taste but rather texture...for some reason creamed cashews just seem fluffier and smoother no matter how I process the macs. have you tried mixing them?

Dallas? Did you order online or pick up. What did you order and how muich for cost. I love to eat so wondering about portion sizes. Gosh, my daughter geets up to Dallas occasionally for a pick up and I was just last week. Did you take a picture for us to see what you received?

I know Cynthia used to be at our group here. Did she include ingredients list? I know when I order anything I must know the ingredients. My body has gotten so sensitive that if there is something that is foreign to my body I immediately have a purge attack. I've been observing it and trying to figure out if it throws my body into an acid reflux mode which I never had before. It's uncontrollable heaving for a few minutes, feeling like I have been beat up, but then few minutes later freedom. It comes without warning too. I'm also observing if tomatoes does it but can't come up with a positive answer as the heaving is not all the time.

I want to try something like this so bad but it's sooo expensive.

maybe one day as a treat or maybe I could order just one or two meals.. how nice it would be to have pre-made meals though!

Hey Apasaraw,
I mix cashews and macs all the time now and it's working great for me. Can't say I see much difference, but then again, I never tried using only macs as they're just way too expensive around here.

I made another batch of Egg Salad using half Macs & half Cashews. I put in celery, spring onions & red pepper & it is sooo great. I love it! I could eat this alll the time. :-)

I wish the Pure Raw Cafe would come up with a recipe book.

Still would like to know how many meals you can get out of an order. Not how many it shows on the site, but how many you were able to get since often portions can vary.
