I'm sure there are LOTS of ways. I think some go as simply to slice up fresh fruit (and maybe some dried) and even some nuts....and pour on some nutmilk.
My favorite way is to sprout and dehydrate buckwheat...then add sliced banana, raisins and even a drizzle of honey before pouring on the nut milk.
Good luck.

You can dehydrate buckwheat plain or with a sauce for sweet flavor and use it as granola. Add anything you like and serve with milk or juice.

Start with any sprouted grain. My favorite is rye and kamut or spelt, mixed. I sprout a quart at a time and then freeze the sprouts. They'll be ready whenever you desire them for use in any number of things. When I want cereal, I rinse about 1/2-3/4 cup grain under hot water to thaw. Then throw in food processor with anything you wish. My standard is 1/2-1 apple and a couple of dates. Any fresh fruit is delicious. Dried fruit is nice, too. I often throw in coriander or the like, as well. Process to desired consistency. I like it chunky. If you desire more of a mush, you can use the blender. I serve it up with fresh fruit and orange juice. Anything goes. So simple, yet yummy and filling! Enjoy!

My sprouted "dehydrated" buckwheat is done. My husband added that to his already "granola store bought cereal" but tomorrow I am going to challenge him to nut milk on his cereal with fresh fruit only that I prepared. He liked the dehydrated buckwheat, but alone, he didn't eat it. Thanks for these tips here. I'm trying to get my husband to "think outside the box" with my homemade granola wisdom.

I got calzone and pizza crusts in dehydrated so with the left over soaked buckwheat it is working out well to dehydrate the buckwheat at the same time. I'm going to see about storing bunches of the dehydrated buckwheat in glass jars so I can always have it around for him and add it into green salads too.

Buckwheat is my friend!

Such great ideas here...raw oat groats are good too if you like oats! :)

Today my husband had his store bought granola and when I saw it I immediately took out my glass jar of dehydrated buckwheat, plopped it on top, he ate it and loved it. I now need to avoid that store bought stuff, save myself $7+ per pound stuff and give him the fresh, homemade stuff with your great suggestions.

I love dehydrating the buckwheat groats after they have been soaked when I got the dehydrator going for other stuff. It really works out great. Just had to brag again, but can't help sharing when I just love the convenience too.

I use oat groats instead of buckwheat. But I want to try buckwheat.

I soak my oat groats overnight and then I dehydrate them along with with 1 cup of almonds, 1 cup of walnuts, and 1 cup of pecans, and 1 cup of almond butter and a couple of apples, agave (or raw honey), and cinnamon. Put all of your nuts and apples in the food processor to chop them up small. Then I dehydrate everything for 12 - 16 hours. Once it is done dehydrating I add raisens to it. I make a large batch of it so I can eat it all week and share some with the hubby. He loves it. This is yummy and good for when you need something heavier to eat.

I've been looking for a cereal recipe for breakfast and this sounds great. I am new at this. Does soaking and dehydrating the oat groats change the texture of them so that they are easier to chew? Also, at what point do I add the almond butter, sweetener and cinnamon? How do you store this once it is made and for how long? Thxs.

I guess it does change the texture (but I have never eaten them without soaking them first. Once they are soaked they get larger. This is extremely soft and easy to chew. You add the almond butter and sweetner and cinnamon before you put it in the dehydrator. You mix all of the ingredients in the bowl at the same time (oat groats, nuts, agave, finely diced apples, and almond butter, etc). Then you spread out the whole mixture unto your sheets for dehydrating. The only thing you don't add is the raisens.

Good Luck! I must say it is fabulous.

Also I put mine in an airtight container (it is a glass container with a screw on lid. I got it at Walmart for around $3.00) in my pantry and I eat all of it within the week or so but it stays pretty fresh and soft.

I can't believe we can so easily have cereal and milk with raw!!

I made this last night and just ate it with sesame milk-unbelievable:

soaked buckwheat, flax, sunflower seeds and raisins overnight then blended them in the food processor with 1 Tbsp. honey and cinnamon.

spread on dehydrator sheet to about 1/8 inch and dried all day, done by evening and put away for this morning. OH MY GOSH! they were SO GOOD!

I got the basics of the recipe from Raw Food, Real World. They have a "coco krispies" version of this I want to try too.

raw is so amazing!
