I really don't know what to do! I really feel the need for a fast but I know I won't last more than a day on a water fast. Unfortunately, all I have available to me is 100% juice bottled juices/ V8/ green tea. I am just now starting all of this and I don't have a juicer, a processor or a dehydrator. I was reading through juice fasting on Freedomyou.com and it says to avoid these things. Is it all that bad? Will I experience any benefits from fasting with these things or should I just go all raw instead and forget about fasting until I have the equipment necessary??? Please help! :o

I don't think they'll allow the break your digestive system needs. I know V8 has "natural flavors" and salt. It's also blended, not just juiced. Is it possible to get simple cheap orange juicer and do an OJ and lemon water fast? I'm not saying what you want is horrible, it just won't get you the results you want because they are cooked. Do what you feel is best for your body though. I would stay simple raw if you want until you are able to juice.

to me all though its best to fast on raw juices , a fast on pasturized juices shall still stop the flow of solids through your g.i. tract allowing it to rest which gives your body extra energy to do the work of flushing out pollutants . and the lack of solids in the tract gives gives your body the best area to dump said pollutants into for removal . plus it shall take many fast , in my experience anyway , for you to shall i say get in good enough fasting shape to start doing the long term ones like 7 days and over that are said to be of greatest benefit .

so if its me ide do a fast with what youve got , it cant hurt . plus besides previously mentioned reasons youll save on food money and on time preparing and cleaning up from meals . plus its a good feeling you get after getting a few small fast in because it dawns on you that you really dont have to spaz out every day to get 3 meals in . after fasting therell be times youll blow of meals cuz youve learned its easy to do and youll enjoy the freedom from having to eat .

my experience is of around 13 fast from 3 to 20 days , farthest ive ever got on all water was 9 days .

a good site i like with fasting info is www.drbenkim.com . , have to search once there for fasting pages .

and in the fasting forum theres a thread ' misslinda and path in the fasting zone ' where several of us just did a fast . and misslinda i believe is still fasting so maybe you could converse with her on fasting , shes very knowledgable on the topic and other homeopathic stuff . and very nice .

well good luck :)
