It is very cold here, yesterday was 8 degrees above zero and i had been out all day in and out of the car. After i got relaxed at home i decided to make a berry smoothie and i added the frozen berries along with 3 large ice cubes and drank it.
Afterwards i felt my heart rate increase and took my blood pressure and my pressure was okay but my heart rate was 102, i felt terrible and very cold.
I set in front of the heater and couldn't get warm, i was so frightened and didn't know what to do.
I prayed and had some herbs for the heart in a dropper and some ginkgo and i took those in a little water and a lot of water and cayanne pepper.
I finally went to sleep, waking up this morning i thought i was better since my heart rate numbers were more normal but i soon started feeling very tired and cold again so i remember that heat goes out of the top of the head so i put on a winter cap and put my feet in hot water.
It was odd because the water was hot to my hands but lukewarm to my feet and i redid the water and set in front of the heater again with a winter cap on, my feet in hot water and a warm housecoat on with a blanket over me, i really did not look attractive at all (my poor husband) he must really love me :)
I feel a little better now but my point is that i did not know that drinking icy drinks in cold weather could cause such a problem.
Has anyone ever experienced this happening to them?
