Cara Cara Orange [Archive]

I was at Costco the other day and picked up a bag of Cara Cara Oranges. I was excited to see the pinkness of them. I did read that they were packed with fiber, but well, all fruit has fiber!!! Until this morning when I read that 7 grams of fiber in one medium orange!!! Woa, that's a lot. Has anyone heard of this type of orange???

Not good for juicing?? :eek: Why? We bought it for jucing and for eating. But it's a BIG bag........

Are you talking about red navels? I've seen regular navels occasionally that are dry, but not these. And putting an orange in a Vita-Mix is quite different from a hand reamer.

How many grams is the orange? (I just picked an orange at random - not a Cara Cara - it's 239 g.) And does the grams of fiber figure include the white?
