Hi mbf

I was raised in Glen Cove, Long Island. Hope you have a car to use. Public transportation out here is nothing like New York's.

There are Trader Joes all over, out here. They have organic at great prices.

Wow! thank you so much! How far are some of these places from Anaheim? I always rent a car when traveling.
I did find some on Happycow.com. Have you heard of a raw place called good mood food ? It looks awesome.

thanks again!

I used to live in Huntington Beach which isn't far from Anehiem. Mother's Market on beach is just off the 405 freeway. Take beach W towards the Ocean, It's on the left hand side on the corner of Atlanta and Beach. It is a really great source for raw food goodies! They also have great prices on nuts and bulk.
I saw Jan's Health Bar on the list and that place is a deffinant NO for raw needs. I used to live right around the corner. It's good if your in a jam but there are deffinantly better options.
Good Mood Food is great and has good prices. It is off... Warner and? Studimier? You might have to mapquest it. It is also on HappyCow.

Mother's is worth the drive though. Maybe after you stop at Mother's you can drive a couple more blocks West and hit the beach! You could walk out on the pier and watch the dolphin's and the endless line of surfers.
I used to live there (2 weeks ago) and it is a great little beach town.

Sorry I can't help you with Anaheim.
You know if you are going to Laguna Beach from Anaheim you might do better to go to the Mother's in Irvine. It's right off the freeway on your right hand side. I don't remember what the exit is... sorry!

Have fun! Enjoy the weather!

I forgot to mention Au Lac in Fountain Valley. Great selection (so I've heard). Never been though.

I have eaten at Au lac restaurant a couple mof times this week. The food is very yummy! I am going to try good mood food this week at some point. Can't wait.

Au lac is probably about a 10- 20 minute drive from anaheim ( depending on time of day and traffic. Mother's market about 30 minutes away. Good Mood Food is about 30 minutes drive from Anaheim. Some of the mainstay grocery foods might have a good selection for you ( such as Albertsons).

Mother's has a nice selection of raw products, so it is definitely worth the drive. They have a juice bar and restaurant as well. I'm not sure what is on the menu for a raw diet, but I'm sure they'd be more than willing to accomodate.
