Hello everybody!!! My name is Jessica and im a 19 year student from Indiana. For the past few years i've been trying sum of anything 2 lose weight. I mean from the south beach diet to the master cleanser fast...u name it i probably tried it :( . Well 1 day while doin sum research 4 1 of my papers, i stumbled across Allisa's site. After reading her site and the testimonials i decided to order the book so i can give this a try bcuz i alwayz been a fan of salads and fruits. So when the book comes and after i read it, i will start my 30 day challenge. Besides my mom and my aunt, my support team is very small, which is what led me 2 wanna post. I hav a few friends and whenever i mention that im tryin 2 lose weight they claim i don't need it(but it's comin from stick figures that could chomp on pure lard and never gain an ounce(lol) and i kno my own body and how i look w/o clothes and all the other garments that u can buy 2 cover this and hold that in place :o . So when i got on here and saw how extremely supportive everyone was, i felt so moved and inspired and i feel that if i hav any probs i can jus talk 2 one of u guys :D . So that's my story and i'm an internet freak so when i start my 30 day challenge i will keep u all posted.

Welcome
I love Alyssa's book! I have changed my way of eating for health reasons and the weight coming off is an added bonus. I believe you will find out how much better you feel eating this way and that will become more important than the actual weight loss. I have learned so much from the book but also from this site. We love newbies. Read others journals. They are really inspiring and made a difference in my life. Lorna

Hey princess,
Good luck with your 30 day challenge. I am 20 years old and have been raw for over a year. It wasn't an easy road for me b/c I did before I knew. I went 100% raw in one day when I didnt really comprehend what raw meant.
My advice to you would be: learn, read, and dont overeat on nuts or dried fruit to fill you up in the beg try to eat lots of greens.
If you have any questions feel free-- i learnt the hard way.
My email address is on my profile.
Lots of love,
Elisheva
