I was just wondering how much water everyone drinks in a day. (not including water from your food, fo course :) )Sometimes I can drink a load of water but most days I hardly drink any at all. This is usually due to feeling down and the "cant be bothered" attitude I am trying to break out from. :(

I probaby drink too much water. I keep 18 oz cups next to each sink, and drink a full glass whenever I pass by.
This is something that has stayed with me from when I first had major symptoms from my celiac disease. My body was not absorbing fluids, and I was constantly fighting off dehydration.

I have started my day with a QUART (chugged :p ) of warm water every morning for 16 years+ now.....It's my automatic toilet flusher!....after my daily run I drink another quart/2....but rarely drink during the day to to the moisture content of my food + it interferes with digestion.....usually drink another quart about 1/2 to 1 hour before dinner....So, I guess I probably drink a gallon a day give or take....but remember, I run an average of 10 miles per day, so my needs may be different. Some here don't drink at all aside from juices and their foods...I prefer my interval "flushes" :p

I used to drink alot of water and always feel thirsty (I'm in the desert)...now it's about 16 oz a day which seem tiny, but I think all the fruit and veg are hydrating me better. Usually a 12 oz smoothie a day too...

None (unless I'm fasting). My diet is so high in water content, that I'm never thirsty. Cool huh? :)

I drink about a litre a day. When I'm fasting, then I drink twice that amount.

I drink a ton of water. I can easily chug down 2 gallons of water per day, and still feel thirsty.
Which is better than when I was pregnant, I'd easily suck down 3 gallons, even getting up in the night to drink (but, oddly, not to use the girl's room).
And there's been no letup since going raw, either.

Do you need more?
I don't drink much water. I get ample water from watery fresh foods. Cucumber, celery, oranges, Yali pears, melons, lettuces, grapes, fresh berries, tomatoes (etc), and I am plenty hydrated.
I find that "forcing myself" to drink more messed up my body's natural thirst instincts. Much like when I "ate by the clock", I messed up my natural appetite. (I'm working on getting both back).
I drink a bit more water when I have fewer juicy fruits to eat...

You need to drink half of your body weight in ounces. So, if you weigh 200 pounds you need to drink 100 ounces of water per day. Happy drinking. I am a health doctor.

You need to drink half of your body weight in ounces. If you weigh 200 pounds you should drink 100 ounces of water per day to keep your organs moist and working properly. The pipes will flow smooth and keep disease away. Measure your water in a pitcher in the morning and make sure it is gone by night.

[It all depends on how I feel each day. If I am eating alot of really water-rich foods that day I drink a little less water and if I'm not eating much or eating denser, less water-rich foods I drink more water.
Of course I automatically get more water with this lifestyle because even the dense foods still have water in them. I love how fruits and veggies contain the purest water on the planet. Naturally filtered and sructured for our assimilation. Life is such a beautiful perfection at times. When I look at all the tiny wonders around us in nature, I swoon. Even the chaos is perfect sometimes.

I usually have between four and eight glasses a day. I think water is still important on a raw diet. You eat a lot of fibre from raw foods, and water helps flush it all through your system. If I don't drink water when I eat raw I get urinary infections.
