Hi all
In my quest to find a raw replacement for a good 'ol American Hersheys bar, I have a pile of Shazzie's chocolate bars and brownies and cookies from the Raw Bakery. Unfortunately, they were not what I was craving. :(
I have a bunch of unopened stuff here. If anyone would be interested in taking it off my hands, I would be happy to send it out to them. Just drop me a line and tell me what you are interested in and I will send it out first come first serve.
Blessings~

Rawbakery sells Shazzie's chocolate bars? I was curious about them after being a devout reader of her blog. How would you describe the taste?

I've tried a couple of Shazzie's chocolate bars. The white chocolate one is actually a light caramel colour and is quite sweet. Can't really describe the taste (I suppose a bit caramel-like with vanilla undertones but not at all like a Dime bar) but it was good and satisfied my chocolate craving. I also tried one of the other ones - can't remember which one - which was darker and not so sweet. Both were good but I found them rather exepnsive so they are only a very rare treat. They have quite a grainy texture. I have tasted Hersheys chocolate in the past and I have to say it was dreadful!!!!! Shazzie's bars are far superior.
Shazzie's raw chocolate powder is very good as well and mixed in with bananas and almond milk makes a very deeeeelicious shake.

Thanks to all who responded - I still have a bit left. If you want some just email me at rebecca@riunlimited.com.
I love Hersheys. I know its cheap and not the greatest quality - my DH gives me a hard time sometimes when he has tried to "treat" me with Godiva or Ghiradelli. Aaah well, I like what I like and Hersheys is it for me (though I have been without since going raw Whooohooo!)
I think if you like the richer type, dark chocolates you would probably like Shazzies. The brownies from Raw Bakery were too "caroby" for me. I AM picky! But I am happy to share!
I've heard the chocolate from www.oneluckyduck.com is good so I think I will try that next. Maybe one of these days I will break down and just try my hand at making my own to suit my own tastebuds!!

Hershey's is the most disgusting thing ever. It is like cardboard. Whenever I was in America I used to have to search everywhere for Swiss chocolate. Americans and we, the Brits (also the Lithuanians for some reason. Their chocolate is gross), CANNOT make chocolate. Still, I would take anything over American chocolate. When I went on the battlefields trip to Belgium with my school when I was 15, we were all amazed that they were selling those Guylian seashell boxes for like £1. The brand wasn't Guylian but the shells were the same. Here those bozes cost near £5. It was chocolate heaven.
Why am I even discussing this when I can't really have chocolate?

Know how I broke my attachment to Hersheys? Their factories are so large that they are allowed, by law, to have a certain amount of rodent hair and feces in the product.
Swallow that! Mmmmmmmmm. I wonder if it's organic rodent feces? LOL
