For those raw foodists out there who cannot afford to buy organic produce, I came across this reassuring little excerpt from an article on a website that discusses fasting. Your efforts are certainly not in vain, so don't for one second think of giving it up!

The produce in supermarkets is grown with chemical fertilizers. Fruits and vegetables are usually sprayed with various pesticides; thus toxins become lodged in the fibers. When juicing, most of the toxins are left with the discarded pulp. Because fruit is far lower on the food chain than animal products, toxic build-up is much less. Cows, pigs and chickens accumulate and concentrate toxic chemicals and pollutants from the environment. Unlike meat, fruit and vegetables are equipped with antioxidants and detoxifying agents that help keep the body clean of toxins.

Yes, fruits and vegetables do have pesticides and toxins present, but eating a diet high in raw fruits and vegetables will clean and protect from the very toxins in our food. If you are blessed enough to afford organic, pesticide-free produce, then we encourage you to enjoy. But for most of us going totally organic is simply not an option. Juicing standard produce from the local grocery store has healed many that are desperately sick, even for those with terminal cancer. As Keith Green sings, you do your best and God will do the rest.

Peace, light, love, blessings, power, and strength on you!

I agree that it is unfortunate that eating healthy has become synonymous (and requisite) with eating organic. I've eaten very little organic in the 6 years or so that I have been raw. I hope that no one feels excluded because they cannot afford organic. That's not true. (Just my opinion).

Thank you so much! I recently become concerned about the amount of fresh produce I am eating and forgetting to wash it... or not washing well I'm sure. I love Keith Green. You should all look up his music sometime, especially his pre-ministry years. I know I only buy a few organic things.

Thanks so very much for this information. I imagine a great number of people will be releaved to hear that they CAN afford it after all. :)

I buy what organic I can, and try not to worry about the rest. And if I'm juicing my produce, it's all good for now. :)

Hi everyone,

I have found Diamond Organics in California will ship organic fruits and vegies within the US. I had a broken leg in April and ordered most of my produce from them and I was very satified with price and service. They have a huge box of produce for around 60.00 plus shipping which is so fresh and beautiful.
I would advise you do an internet search for organic produce and see what comes up in your area or available to ship. This may be an alternative to store bought produce.
Good Luck everyone!
:)

I too agree that with fruits and veggies the good outweighs the bad...I just try to avoid things that are traditionally sprayed alot more...

Greetings all :D You're all extremely welcome,

I hope this information fills all those who just happen across it, or purposely search for something along these lines, with a renewed or increased sense of purpose, that they are doing the best that they can, and that that it is good enough. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and all the forces for good in the universe will gather by your side to assist you in all your well-intentioned endeavours! May they always instill you, and saturate your lives, with joy, courage and prosperity!

He's saying whatever it is I say in my posts  He's a talkative chap, who loves to be where the action is, and who captures and represents that part of my personality I've decided I'm no longer going to be afraid of projecting out to the world. He's someone who realises he does indeed have something good to contribute to the world, and to the lives of others, contrary to whatever he's been told many many times before. Physically, and of his own volition, he doesn't have any hair on his scalp or face either (okay he's got a leaf or two), just like me. He humbly thanks you for your compliment :D :D :D  :p :) :D

Peace!
