View Full Version : 3rd day raw and one important question.

Hi, I just got Alissa's book and have been eating raw for three days. Trying to handle my IBS without giving up the fruits and vegetables that I love so much. So far so good. It seems that I can eat my salads and fruits with out blowing up as long as I'm not eating cooked food at the same time. My big question.... I have no intention whatsoever to give up my coffee. Will continuing with coffee negate all the other great effects I can expect from eating raw?

Your choice....always your choice.
As a coffee drinker (1 a day in the past) I can say that I didn't give it up...I just stopped wanting it one day...it may give you up in the long run. ;) Just eat healthy raw and see what develops!

I love coffee still. I have seen others post on here that they have not given it up yet either. It is not consistent with the raw diet. Where I work people have a problem of falling asleep at work. I have found that green juices help me stay awake better than coffee and without that stress to my body of the coffee - not just the coffee nerves but it eats away at your bladder and causes imbalance there. So now I try to make a green juice usually spinach or cilantro and keep that at work for the time of day when I start getting sleepy. Also with raw I find that I no longer have the sleepy problem as much as my co-workers still do.
