Hi all,
After reading all the great comments about RP brownies, i had to make them. They were great!!! There is one problem. My son is allergic to nuts. :( my daughter and I felt really bad eating the brownies :o . I would love to make him a batch. Can someone recommend a substitute for the nuts?

Shredded, dried coconut works. :) Hmm...that's a nut...not sure what else would work.

Just a hint about the coconut: If you are going to use fresh coconut, that is great. But if you are using the dried UNsweetened stuff from the baking section, you should put it in a DRY food processor and turn it on for as long as it takes to pretty much melt down into a dough. It takes a long time, varying with whatever kind of machine you have, but it does happen. This will pack together and make a shortbread-y square of its own. Or you can use it as a layer in one of your concoctions. Or you can go ahead and make the brownies with it. Hope it is the answer for you.

you can use sunflower seeds and/or pumpkin seeds.
