Are you talking about a water fast? If so, then leave the coconut where it sits. A water fast is just that. Just water.

What type of fast are you referring to?

Um...you could put it on your skin. It's very good for your skin.

Were you thinking of putting it in your juice or something? If the goal of your fast is to detox, I'd stay away from any sort of oil except on the skin. I've read that oils slow down or stop detox.

maybe wait until after your fast to begin adding it to smoothies?

Oil is really a pure fat, so yes it will feel greasy.

I put it in my crazy curly hair while wet and my son says I have "greasy hair"...lol.

If you have really dry skin you might want to give it a whirl, you can apply it when you are still wet after bath or shower.

I wouldn't eat it though. I don't see a necessity to eat pure fat for any reason. Eat the coconut instead. Or if you are drinking liquids only right now, have some coconut water, it's really delicious.
