That's awesome, Fox!!! I've lost at least 8 since I started, but I'm not getting back on the scale--I think I could become too fixated on numbers instead of how I feel and how my pants fit. Speaking of, I went down a size, too. This stuff Rawks, doesn't it?? :)

Congrats to both of you!!
I was high raw for a very long time...but I started 100% less than 3 weeks ago and lost 8 pounds the first week...astounding to me. Now it's a steady 2 pounds a week and my 2 year plateau is over!!! :)

I weighed in last Friday at our biggest loser contest at the gym. And then I weighed myself on Wednesday just to see where I was weight-wise (in case I had to really hammer for tomorrow's weigh in) and all I could do was stare at the scale. I used the gym scale. The same one they weigh us in on all of the time, and it showed an 11# loss. I asked the lady in the locker room that was there if I was doing it right. I am astounded. I will find out for sure tomorrow, but I can't see how I was doing it wrong. I keep adding it up in my head over and over.....if it's true...woohooo!!!!

WOO HOO! You GO girls.
The pants I was wearing the day my friend told me about raw (12/29)? They don't fit.
The pants that are a size smaller? Yeah. They don't fit either. :D
30 days on 2/5 and crankin.
Keep it up - and enjoy the other benefits - being healthier than ever and energized!

Thanks everybody. It's good to hear others are doing just as well. I feel like it's just so easy, it's like cheating almost. The struggle doesn't seem like the same struggle my other family memebers who aren't raw are going through. Oh if only they'd change their tunes.

VERY good! That is so cool, isn't it?
My greatest accomplishment with going raw is my migraines have been cured. I have not had ONE migraine since going raw almost 8 months ago. I have had migraines my entire life. Also - my thyroid was diagnosed as dead six years ago and that is now functioning.
Oh and I've dropped over 35 pounds.
This IS a curing, healing way of eating.

That's fantastic! I didn't have many health problems to start with... My doctors took blood and all that and just couldn't explain that if everything is working properly, why am I fat? I guess I just needed to eat raw. They are going to be so shocked when they see me at my next annual check-up. Heh. They all had so little faith in me.

I love it! My thyroid doc is scratching his head. Keeps asking me, "What other meds are you taking?" "None doc, yours is the only one [for my thyroid]" I say. "Hmmm, well, what change in diet are you doing?" says he. "Well, I eat only fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, and green smoothies." No way am I gonna tell a short, fat, bald MAN doctor about raw, he would swear it wasn't good for me. "No, that shouldn't have anything to do with your thyroid." says my doc. Then why ask me??? Hello! It has EVERYTHING to do with it! Doctors are NOT nutritionists. If they were, big pharma would be out of business and that JUST can't happen.
HF - I am so proud of you! Just keep it up. It only gets better!
You go girl!!! :D

I would have said the world, but some countries aren't as bad off as America. Just changing this country would be HUGE.

Oh, that's wonderful...what a great way to start my day...I can feel your happy energy coming off the screen....
...eating raw is great...I feel so good...my weight is slower coming off...could some of you with successful weight losses post an average days food...I wanna see what I need to change....\
I saw my friend last night and after 30 days raw he's lost 18 pounds...and he makes all the recipes in Alissa's book...nuts and all...soooooooooo, I only have about 10 to lose so it may be slower for me...I'm not sure...

Yeah, tell me about it. I went to Spain with a group from school once and the girls wouldn't eat ANY of the Spanish cuisine. They'd sit with the group at the restaurant and then during free time they'd go off to Burger King or McDonalds and eat American crap food. I couldn't believe them! I had all their Paella, though. Nothing like snails and rice.
I also had a friend who watched Super-Size Me while eating McDonald's food. That right there should be considered blasphemy.

PE - you may not need to change anything. And men's metabolism is quicker. Incorporate green smoothies. They work wonders.
Don't compare. It's coming off. You are becoming so much healthier. Just keep doing what you are doing. :D

Congratulations on your sucess! I went raw three weeks ago and definately feel better. I am sure I have lost weight, however I am afaid to step on the scale! I went out to eat with a girlfriend and ate SAD at a local restraunt and felt so ill. I had a headache, body pain, fatigue, and nausea. I won't be doing that to myself again any time soon! (I felt sad after I ate).
I just joined the message board and I am finding it extremely helpful!

OK. The official weigh in today was 10# since last Friday. I am so excited, I'm trying to spread the great news. My mom and sister are going to watch the dvd's this week-end. My mom has already had experience with the raw food. She went to a Hallelujah Acres seminar years ago. But I hope my little sister really listens. I would love for her to be in shape. It would be so good for her self esteem and her families' health. (my nephew, who works at McDonald's is horribly obese). And a lot of people I know. I really cannot understand why people can't get it. Oh well...I'm with you Fox...feels too easy to be true, doesn't it?

Congratulations - that is an impressive beginning. I think it is so amazing because; (at least for me)
I don't go hungry at all
I can eat as much as I want
my food is delicious and
I feel better with each passing day.
Then you step on the scale and see that you are losing weight too - bonus! BTW I am on day 5 and have lost 5 pounds. :)

Thank you living4God...for being here and upbeat. So many people who don't get it and cannot imagine eating raw try to pooh pooh the idea and tell you it's bad to lose that weight this fast. Some people can really rain on your parade! I feel the same way you do...delicious food, and feeling so good!!! And now really fun people to talk with on this web site. God bless...T.

Congrats to all of you! I think one of the biggest challenges for this way of eating isn't finding stuff to eat, but finding support. We're so lucky to have each other to cheer us on and share our fantastic news. Speaking of which, I just began my period yesterday (sorry if that's TMI for some people), and usually I put on about 5 pounds of water weight. Not an ounce. I actually LOST more weight. Just goes to show you how out of whack our bods are when we eat SAD. :)
