I'd like to hear what others are making!!
I'm planning to make:
guacamole (an all time favorite!)
refried beans (rawkinlocs recipe!)
some chips...not sure which recipe.
Some kind of sweet.....any thoughts? Something finger food type? Maybe Maraw's cinnamon macaroons....or chocolate chewies???? Maybe if I could get enough "pulp"...rawkinlocs cinnamon rolls???
So what are you making??

My family are from Illinois, and are HUGE Bears fans, so we're having a get-together tomorrow. They are eating SAD, so I'm only "cooking" for myself, but here's what I'm making:
Sweet potato and onion chips (in the dehydrator as I type this!)
Guacamole
Peppermint patties (already made!)
Alissa's Onion Dip
Chili and Cornbread (a new chili recipe I found - the cornbread will go in the dehydrator first thing in the morning)
That's it! I want as much good, tasty, raw food around me so I won't be tempted or feel deprived. And, to be honest... I have a feeling they'll be sneaking some of MY food!!!

Myself again....I don't know which chili recipe you are using, but the chili recipe that floats around the board is AWESOME!!
Sounds like a good time to me.
I'm dehydrating a NEW, self-made corn chip recipe
Tomorrow I will make:
refried beans, guacamole and hopefully apple crisp.
Can't wait!

I haven't tried the chili recipe floating around here... I'll have to now!! I've always LOVED chili and cornbread, and I'm just so thrilled that I may have found a raw equivolent!
Have you made the refried beans before, or is this your first time? I'm interested as to how they taste. If they're yummy, I want to try making a layered dip, like the SAD version I've always adored! Beans, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. YUM! Oh, my - now I'm drooling! Maybe I can run out in the morning and get the ingredients to make that in time for the game!!!!!!!

I made a some refried beans quite awhile back...and if I remember correctly they were like the recipe that Rawkinlocs posted, using sunflower seeds, oil, and seasonings.....to me they tasted better than sad refried beans! Good luck....
Soak your sunflower seeds overnight.... :D Then you can make them tomorrow. If you don't have them yet, I would get them first thing in the am, and soak them for about 4 hours! Good luck!

I'm going to stuff myself before I goto the superbowl party that i've been invited too. It's a sad - eaters party, so this way I won't be tempted. :)

Myself Again: I made the 'chili' and my SAD chef son came in, so I gave him a spoonful and asked if he felt it needed any more seasonings; he said this is 'awesome' to this day I did not tell him it was RAW; my hubby finished 1/2 of his serving and I asked if he liked it, he said he would appreciate less 'cumin' but it was great! Then I told him it was RAW and he kind of gave me that '?' look on his face !!! You'll enjoy it, for sure! Joz

Here you go: AND IT'S SO EASY! do less cumin/chili as you can add to and not take out. The spices get spicier as food dehydrates. So almost to the end test it, if it needs more add some. and dehydrate for 1/2 hr longer.

Hi all...I finally made everything....I ended up taking:
corn chips
guacamole
refried beans
apricot/cashew/lemon cookies....they were really sticky, so I rolled them in cashew/pecan flour...and they were delicious! My sad sister-in-law really liked them...and several friends said what I made was GOOD!
SUCCESS!! :D
