I sprout mine and use in in pizza base instead of or as well as wheatberries. I have used rye and barley in the same way.


This is the one I made last weekend with the barley, rye and spelt mixture - it's worth trying and very straightforward to make.

If you eat it raw its really nasty. I use spelt in my pancakes and even then I add lots of other things like coconut, vanilla, etc. Just to cover the taste. I don't think I'll use it anymore but it comes in handy if you have some at home.
