Hello everyone. So many of you have really inspired me. I have been reading the posts on this site for a few weeks now. I have read and watched Alissa's book and DVD's. I am really excited to begin my first 30 days of eating 100% RAW this coming Monday Feb. 5th. I will be doing my grocery shopping this weekend. I am a little nervous about the grocery bill, but I'm sure this will be one of the largest since I have NOTHING raw in my home.

I was diagnosed 4 years ago with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I am a stay at home mom of 5. Hanna (8), Jacob (5), Jeremiah (2), Samuel (1) and Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards) (2months). Jeremiah and Nevaeh are our foster children, the other three are ours biologically. My oldest 2 have NO intrest in eating anything even resembling vegetables. And will NOT eat any kind of smoothie. I will give them credit. They have tried a few smothies, but YUCK...they don't like them. I was suprised...I thought for sure I could get them to drink smoothies. And my husband...he thinks this way of eating is all hype. He laughs at me when I tell him how excited I am, or how other people have been totally cured of their Fibro and CF symptoms. But that doesn't discourage me. It just makes me more determined to show him!!! :D

My 1 year old absolutely loves the smoothies and will eat anything I put in front of him, even salad. So he is going to go raw with me. I am going to be feeding Jeremiah as much raw as possible and when it is time, Nevaeh will be eating homeade raw baby food. I am really excited about this and could use the encouragement as it comes.

I am a little nervous about the detox process. As I also work 4 days a week and am really nervous about the headaches and the body aches as well as the fatigue. Hopefully it will all be mild.

Thank you so much to all of you who have posted the wonderful benefits this woe has brought to you, as it has really encouraged me. I will be needing the encouragement even more I am sure.

Best of luck on your raw journey.

I'm sorry you suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, but with 5 children, any mom would be fatigued! (Kidding, sort of....) Raw should help you alot with your energy levels and pain management. "More raw food" is the mantra we give at work for anyone dealing with the problems that you are, so you are on the right track.

I'm Excited for you also.....And if this is hype..then bring it on..........

Try drinking more water to flush out your system and exercising, this should help with your detox.

I think you are a Great Mother and Foster Mother. You are going to Change Lives and you are planting seeds for your Foster Childrens that will always grow inside their Hearts. They will ALWAYS have a thirst for RAW even if their time with you is not forever.

So you are Well on your Journey......I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW.........Welcome to MY World........
