View Full Version : On Again / Off Again :-)

I've been on and off raw since about 2000...but have been vegan since October of 1994. I've had problems figuring out exactly which form of raw is for me...but want to try again. Of course, I can't say I'll stick with it this time...but my gut tells me we really shouldn't be loading up on grains, cooked beans, etc. One thing I'm not giving up is coffee. I know, I know...that is kind of defeating the purpose, but I'm not quitting it. :-)
I'm a Libran psychic medium and mommy to 2 adorable cats. I'm currently 40 years young and work in the entertainment industry for 2 TV shows.

Welcome to the board.
I remember you from the Raw and Sports message board at vegsource, we both used to post there. I think I went by Curly Chef, from what I can remember! I remember the dolphins, and don't think there's another Atheria that loves dolphins, so it has to be you!
I was the same way with chocolate, but I got on some people's prayer lists and I was able to kick it for good with the exception of a slip up.
It helps to give up something when the supernatural is involved, because we can be so addicted to a substance, whether it is alcohol, coffee, drugs, or in my case chocolate that we don't want to give it up because we feel so attached to it. I believe our own will power can only take us so far on our journeys.
It just feels really good not to even have a desire for the stuff, whereas before I had to have a Lindt bar or Cadbury bar, or some other form of chocolate, one way or the other, every single day, even when I was all raw.
