Yali pears = DIVINE!

Today our supermarket had a Chinese pear called "Yali" on sale and I'd never tried it before. So I got my husband to get lots of them. I shared some with my family and they love it, and now I am going to be buying lots of them while they are still on sale!

They are kind of crisp, oozing with juice at every bite, and mildly sweet.

ooo, i wonder if these are also called "Asian pears." ? Is it kind of big and round as well as a green/yellow/brownish color?

I think perhaps they are. My husband says they were wrapped up like Asian pears were. They were advertised as Yali pears at the store. I'd never Asian pears before. Now I will have them every time they go on sale!

I have never tried the Yali pear but I rave about the asian pear. I have several in my crisper. I Looooovee them so juicy and refreshing!
