I am feeling confused and frustrated and am wondering what the heck is going on.

I have been trying to get back to raw for over a year now and just never make it. I get bowel flare ups like crazy whenever I eat things that my bowel cannot tollerate at that moment. Example: The other day I had a couple flax crackers with avo and tomato - oh yummy! The next day I was in pain which has been getting worse everyday.

Right now I am only eating a small bit of "baby pablum" yes baby food and I am still hurting. I am on antibiotics right now too so I cannot do a juice fast.

I just don't get it! I go for weeks raw and then eat something a little more rough and bang I seem to be worse then the last time I went through the same thing. I was diagnosed with IBS after going RAW which I know is from my bingeing and not raw food, but the raw aggravates it.

Has anyone else gone through anything similar? If I am going to be raw I am not sure what to eat first and what to add so as to avoid this agony.

Thanks for the tid-bits of help you can offer!

Sounds like detoxing to me that you are not giving a chance...
dunno
Do you drink massive, I mean like INSANE amounts of water? Especially eating dehydrated foods - you MUST.
And antibiotics? UGH! They are THE WORST thing ever - mho...

I'd recommend going on a mini-fast and eating single ingredient foods for a while to give your body a chance to not be so heavily burdened.

You should try upping your healthy oils. I know I haven't even started this diet, but I do know the oils are going to help things go through your digestive tract a lot more smoothly then without. 2 servings of healthy oils is the daily allowance, but maybe try a little more just until your body adjusts?
