If I "toast"my sesame seeds in the oven without turning the oven on (the pilot light is usually enough to toast them right) is that considered cooked or is the temperature low enough it would still be raw?
I have a great halvah recipe handed down from my grandmum, that I want to make but I once made it without toasting the seeds and it was sooooo gross!
