Hello. Well I bought some avacados to try make some guacamole(sp?) but then saw that the recipy I was gonna use was kinda full of raw tomotoes (just hate them sadly, I hope some day this changes) Is there a way around this, or maybe another amazing dip or sauce or something to make with avacados (don't like them plain but in sauces they're good) Thanks.
Also, when you first started what were some of the easiest things you made? I don't get Alissa's book until the 1st, but I still want to start on the 1st (it'll probibly take a couple days to read her book, but I still wanna be trying raw while doing it cuz the sooner I started the sooner things will get easier)
Again, thank you!

I tend to avoid avocados and tomatoes together because they make me, um, musical. :o But you can make guacamole without it. Just put lots of fresh lemon juice in it to thin it a bit.
I love fresh tomatoes alone, though - sorry to hear you don't like them :)

Welcome to the rich world of avocadoes! You can whip them up with agave sirup/ honey and cacao powder/ carob for a yummy chocolate mousse, perhaps add a dash of salt and vanilla. For a guacamole without tomatoes, just add red pepper instead- tastes yummy!

The crunchy tacos I just posted the recipe for (use the banana to do a search if interested) calls for both.
I've made Alissa's nori rolls and they are so delicious and easy to make! I don't use tomatoes either and when I make guac. I add cilantro, lemon juice and garlic. I know Shazzie has a nice recipe on her site that uses avocado. www.shazzie.com Such a lovely fruit!!

I make guacamole by mashing up the avocado and adding garlic, salt and cumin - to taste. It's always yummy!

I made this avocado basil cream cause the other day from a recipe that maraw had me make for her magazine.. I can find it for you if you'd be interested.. it was really yummy! You could put it on top of zucchini noodles or just spread it on some flax seed crackers or nori sheets with any other veggies on there. yum!
I started out making a lot of zucchini noodles and sauces in the beginning and nori rolls with apple and avocado and agave nectar.

Chocolate pudding using avos and carob powder. Don't know if a recipe is posted here.
Also in Alissa's book is an awesome lemon pudding recipe. You don't even taste the avo.
Great food avos are!
Here's some info I quickly pulled off the forum:
Taken from trinity's post...The first recipe I ever made was similar to maraw's ...
2 small ripe avocados
3/4 C agave nectar
1/4 C raw cocao powder
1 T vanilla
Here is hers ... http://www.therawtable.com/recipecoll/chocpudd.htm

Hee hee, that title sounds silly. I banana searched everywhere and couldn't find your crunchy taco recipe. Could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I sometimes put corn and sunflower seeds in mine. I might put it in the food proc. or just mix it all up by hand. Celery is great too. Maybe I'll top it on my salad, too.
