I can eat for a week just looking for a few minutes at all the yummy ideas posted in the monthly challenge threads and also in the recipe area of this site. I have a dehydrator, but find it troublesome and it often takes too long to make stuff, so I rarely use it.
You'll be happy with Alissa's book.
It is really great.

Hi there,
Congratulations on starting raw!!! You will love it.
You can do lots of smoothies and salads in the meantime.
My basic smoothie recipe is
the juice of 2-3 oranges or some purified water as a base
3-4 ripe bananas
whatever fresh or frozen fruits you like (my favorites include frozen cherries and blueberries)
You google "raw salad dressings" and come up with tons of recipes!
All the best,
Audrey

Thanks!!
Now i know that organic is prefered, but is it against everything raw to use regular store bought fruit?
Also I am allergic to some fruits :( which is horrible but I recently found out that bananas when picked since they are picked ripe are coated with sulfer, and I am allergic to sulfer and am curious if that stuff soaks through the peel?
I haven't always been allergic but I miss bananas, and am almost tempted to buy some organic bananas to test it out, but am still kind of scared since the last time it made my throat close off a bit.

Organic of course is preferred, but using store-bought and thoroughly washing is fine. Don't make this hard on yourself. Have fun with raw!
