I think you should be fine esp. on just juices.

I've fasted 2 times before on only just distilled water for 14 days, & I'm fine. :D

I don't believe that a teenager should fast, unless they are battling a serious medical condition. Until the body is completely finished maturing, I firmly believe that people need consistent caloric intake - every day - more than juice would likely provide. I think at your age a full, healthy, varied raw diet would be best. Of course, this is just my opinion, and it may not be popular one around here.

As far as fasting in general goes, I believe that a small percentage of the alternative health community take fasting to an extreme, doing it for too long and too often, and thus destroy their metabolism and damage their health. I think that excessive fasting can worsen, or help to perpetuate, serious eating disorders.

But, again, that's just my (strong) feelings about it.
I know many, many people, here and elsewhere, who truly believe that fasting long and often is just great. It is always a popular topic around here. I do fast when I'm ill, so I'm not anti-fasting entirely - just so you know. I'm sure you'll get replies from many people who feel very differently than I do.

I think that Alissa's "just eat raw" motto is the healthiest one, as long as you strive for a wide, wide variety of foods and don't live on raw brownies and avocados (as great as they may be...) you'll likely do great living on raw foods and continue to enjoy amazing health and remain just as pretty as you are now.

IMHO, a one day water fast should be fine.

Hi New York... short fasts may be best for you. One of the things to consider is that your brain and all are still developing... so it may be wise to take it easy with fasting. That is great you eat raw!!

There are a variety of cleanses and fasts that you can do. There is information on a thread in this section called 'Fasting Support' . It has information on fasting with juices and juice recipes, green smoothies, the apple cleanse. Just click on 1st page, 1st post. Wishing you the best with this and post if you need support. :p
