Last night I made some marinara sauce...based roughly on Alissa's recipe. I used lots of sundried tomatoes soaked, fresh tomatoes, olive oil, dates, garlic, red pepper flakes, sea salt. I made it up very thick..and then put it in a dish with pignolias sprinkled on it and put it in the dehydrator for a few hours.
I also made mushrooms, by chopping up portobellas and mixing in olive oil, chopped garlic, sea salt and black pepper and dehydrated that .
The mushrooms were absolutely delicious!! I was stunned that they tasted so good..almost as if they had been sauteed. :eek:
I made zucchini pasta and piled on the yummy sauce with mushrooms and pinenuts....and mixed it all up. It was the best pasta dish I have made..and was very easy.
I wish I had brought some with me to school today..... :D
