OK, I need help finding a "raw vegan food pyramid" by tomorrow morning for my daughter to take to school. They are studying the new food guide and of course she staunchly and bravely (she's not shy!) raised her hand and told the teacher she was wrong and that a lot of the foods on the new food guide are not healthy, etc..... I do NOT want her to argue with her teacher by any means. But I wanted to send a copy of how "we" eat to show that every one is different and that it doesn't mean we are not healthy just because the USDA doesn't recommend it! I need to be able to print it out....I'll keep searching meanwhile. Thanks everyone!

The closest thing I've found is a vegan pyramid, which isn't much help to you I guess.
Let us know if you do find one, I'm sure there would be many people here who would be interested.
Good luck to your daughter!

I can't get the search to work either....but don't have Victoria's book either...I did just find this

He calls it an "Optimal Health Food Pyramid"
I just want her (daughter and teacher) that there are a variety of recommendations....an Asian Food Pyramid, Native-American Food Pyramid, Vegan, etc... Not everything in life is one sided.....actually nothing is....I told her to never let anyone take her right to an opinion away....I just hope she doesn't get too self righteous so I'm going with the one size does not fit all theory and copying VARIOUS food guides. ;) Thanks for the help!

You can actually make one of your own:
draw a pyramid and
bottom: 80 % Carbohydrates; from fruits and vegetables/greens
middle; 10 % Proteins; nuts grains seeds
top; 10 % Fats; oils/fats/avocado
We have a perfect chart;
here I found this; http://food4livecells.com/hdiet-pyramid.htm

I got a terrific one from www.watershed.net
I just looked on there and don't see it now though. You could check for yourself. I think it only cost $9.99 and is a really nice size poster. I sized down this picture as I am sure he doesn't want people having such easy free access to it when he is trying to make a little money.
Okay, folks, which of those raw food pyramids is the most practical according to our ways of thinking here? I can't see the "Pearamid" one well enough to get an idea.
