Sorry if this is a silly question but I am wondering if this product is raw or not (maybe calling it a product answers my question right there :p )

It's from a company called POM, and it says 100% from concentrate (but I dunno what that means)

100% Pomegranate Juice
A Taste Unlike Any Other

Slightly sweet. Slightly tart. One sip and youÂ’ll discover a refreshing beverage with itÂ’s own unique personality. But thereÂ’s more than great taste inside the bottle: youÂ’ll find more antioxidant power than any other juice in our line. Maybe thatÂ’s because the 16 oz. bottle of 100% Pomegranate Juice contains the juice of almost five fabulous fresh pomegranates. Wow.

More good news. 100% Pomegranate Juice:

contains no added sugars, preservatives or colors
is a good source of potassium
is gluten free
is flash pasteurized to retain both flavor and nutrients
is available in 8 oz.(limited distribution), 16 oz., 24 oz., and 48 oz. sizes (237ml, 473 ml, 710 ml, 1.4 L)
is certified kosher

Thats what it says for it online http://www.pomwonderful.com/100_percent_juice.html

Thanks for your time!

is flash pasteurized to retain both flavor and nutrientsPasteurization (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=pasteurization) is a method to heat up the item to a level to kill off microorganisms. Anything that is pasteurized is not RAW because to do it they have to heat it up over 112 degrees Fahrenheit, even for a moment.

if you can get your hands on fresh pomegranates to make your own fresh juice, pomegranate-orange juice is AWESOME. AND really good for you. separate out the little pomegranate fleshy seed-pods from the pomegranate skin immersed in a bowl of water (less messy and they separate easier), dump them into your juicer, put a couple oranges through the juicer too, and AWESOME.

Thanks everyone! Well instead of that today I just had a normal palmagranate, I can hardly wait till I have a juicer cuz trying to suck off the fruit from the little seeds is making my jaw hurt, but they are soooooo yummy :D Have rawrific day!

You can also cut the fruit in half and juice on a citrus press/juicer. Works perfectly!!

Firicia - just crunch on and eat the seeds... I've never tried to suck off only the juice!!
