Hello Everyone,

I made "crazy bread" and I thought it would be okay to stick them in a zip lock bag until I wanted more. They were hard and cooled before I put them in the bag. The next day I went to munch on one and it flopped over and was gross! Why didn't it stay crunchy? Should I stop storing breads and crackers in bags?

And also.

How do you form a recipe when it is supposed to go in a dehydrator. Like a cake or some raw chili that I would like to heat up? I have looked around for small enough containers that would be dehydrator safe with no luck. Maybe it's just not possible?

Thanks everyone. :o

I store my flax crackers in a tupperware container or a ziploc baggie. Sometimes they seem to be less crisp a day or so later, so I put them back in the dehydrator and crisp them up again. I've had the onion bread go limp like that, too -- and just re-dehydrate it some.

I have some small, flat white single serving casserole type dishes that I use to reheat items in the dehydrator. Or you can use a regular soup bowl. I just remove a couple of the trays if the bowl is a bit too high.

You could use small square corningware containers for cake type things. Usually, though, the "batter" is thick enough to hold it's shape, so you can just set it on a flat plate and dehydrate it that way.

Hope this helps.

Did you put it in the fridge? I put mine in there and it was fine. In a plastic container. I did not dehydrate mine until crisp though. Just chewy.

I use the packets my berries, herbs and medjool dates come in - they're just about thin enough to fit.
