When I came back from work I received Alissa's book and DVD, that I ordered only ten days ago!!
I am so excited, I watched a little of the DVD, and now I have to go to the gym...hummm...The temptation of remaining at home watching the DVD is strong, but I have to be good and move my butt! But the DVD is great!!! And the book is beautiful!!

AND I even brought it into work today (that's got to be some exercise right there :p !!!) Wow - fabulous book, Alissa - it's well thought out and well put together - even my dh said "we could do some of these recipes" !!!!! VERY cool. I need all the support I can get! I look forward to reading it and making some great meals - AND getting thin and healthy!
Thanks so much for your hard work, Alissa!!!
Love to you and all here,

Hey Curtis - I am so psyched! I had made the mistake (cough) of buying a different book from Barnes and Nobles which my dh dissed thoroughly and told me no way was he going to do that diet. That was a whoops. But he actually liked Alissa's book and wants to do some of the recipes this weekend. I was quietly blown away that this SAD eater was willing to try some raw eating... if he ends up going raw it will take him a long time as he has always been much more fixed in his ways - I'm the flexible one who is always open to an answer - and WOW, was this the ANSWER (at least for me :) :) :))!!!!
Love to all!

Wow all of this really makes me want to order the book right this instant :D ! I will definately have to order it sometime soon but I can't decide if I should get the DVD or not too. Anyone here have the DVD? Does it show how to do different things than in the book?

Analeah, I think the DVD would be wonderful for recipe-making challenged people like me, who have no idea of how to do anything in the kitchen. The only thing I'm really good at is picking up fruit and eating it!!! It sounds like Alissa walks you through how to make some of her recipes and I think there are testimonials there as well - someone please correct me if I'm wrong! So really depending on how into this you want to go, the dvd is probably a great buy. I am waiting for a bit as I need to get some of the basic tools into the house - I have a cheap blender, but that's about it.
Curtis, can't wait to see your pics - I'm going to work on mine today!!!
Love to all,

If you have the money I would go ahead and get the book and dvd together. I will be getting the dvd as soon as I can. I think the dvd can help in supporting folks to continue on, when you see her making meals and seeing the great health she is in. What is the old saying? A picture is worth a thousand words? Even when we read we think in pictures. :)
lol and for some folks the dvd will show them how easy making the meals are.

For those of you who are considering getting the book ~~~ GET IT! I just received mine after much contimplating on whether or not to get it and I am sooooooo glad I did. I just got done watching the DVD and it was great. I am definitly someone who learns by viewing something so it was really what I needed. The book is great and so are the recipes but it was very helpful to actually see the items once they were made. I am ordering a saladacco today. I can't wait to try it. I am going to be poor of money BUT rich in health. I am fairly new to this raw food life but I am going to jump in 100 percent and take the 30 day challenge. Thanks to all of you who submit information on this site. I have sound so much of it helpful. :p
