I have been giving my kids a more raw diet this past week. My kids love fruit and raw veggies and want to eat them all day. SHould there be a limit on how much raw fruits and veggies they eat a day? The reason why I am asking is because I have introduced this into their diet my 4 year old has had diarrhea each day. :( He even told me with a serious look on his face "mommy I think I am going to have diarrhea forever  ." I was LMAO of at his statement, but I really am concerened. He eats tons of apples, oranges, grapes, broccoli, spinich, and carrots all day as well as fresh squeezed juice and smoothies. Is this too much for his little tummy.

Your baby seems to be having a good, well-needed cleaning out!
Fruit is very cleansing. I've heard that bananas are binding, though, so maybe up his banana intake and lower the intake of the juicier fruits and apples for a while if you're really concerned and if he is in discomfort at the bum area.
Otherwise, I would just allow nature to take it's course. We have associated loose/runny stool as a problematic thing because it mainly happens when we eat something bad - it's simply another way our bodies cleanse itself. I would not say the fruit is bad...but perhaps the fruit is cleaning out any and all bad things that may have previously been in his colon.

My 4 yo & 2.5 yo are still having this problem - mainly the younger one though. My baby is now fine with it (11 mo).
I don't know what is going on with the 2.5 yo as it is practically pouring out - all day long! I can't get him to eat veggies though - he eats mainly fruit and nuts and will eat the flat breads when I get time to make them. Only occasionally he will eat a bit of carrot and celery. He loves avocadoes (which are fruit too). He also likes some of the green drinks we make - but they aren't going to add any fibre.
He does love bananas and eats them a lot, but they seem to go within 2 days in our house and then we don't have any until next shopping day.
I do wish I could get him to eat more raw veggies...it is a constant worry... Perhaps if I try and make some muffins with pumpkin, carrot & zucchini or other veggies - anyone got any good recipe ideas?

 Your son may have a nut allergy, I heard someone else say that the nuts made their son have loose stools or diarrhea. Just a thought, I'm no expert though. Good luck and hope it gets better. Maybe just try feeding him one variety of fruit for a day or two and then add one more at a time and see if one food in particular triggers the diarrhea? Good luck!
