I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what recipies to use for salt cravings?
Every afternoon after work I get all these cravings for salt. I like baked chips, pretzals, saltine crackers, cheese its...that type of thing. I used to really crave SAD sweet things but then I figured out ways to get around that craving (RP's brownies, avocado pudding, strawberry pie type things) so I would love suggestions on how to get rid of the salt cravings.
I have Alissa's book so if you have a reccommendation from her book or a website or something I would really appricate it. :)

Have you tried making chips in the dehydrator? There's different threads on here for chip recipes. Veggies soaked in salt water, celtic sea salt and vinegar, Braggs, anything salty like that then dehydrated makes a nice salty snack.
I believe you can also get hymalayan salt to use as a salt lick. It's more complete than table salt and helps to break the addiction to it. At least that's what I've read.

I like to eat carrots with a little olive oil to dip them in and then a sprinkle of salt. I also like tomatoes with salt. Or plain crisp lettuce with salt.

hi captain swab ,
what i did was make a vinegar and oil salad dressing
loaded with alot of pulverized garlic cloves i crush up fresh , along with your
herbs .
and if still need a little salt kick add a tiny bit of salt
to the dressing .
also i think sun dried tomatos are high in sodium .

I was reading about Rawkinloks crazy bread last night.....it sounds like it might be something you'd enjoy.

Also search for "eggplant bacon" with the banana up top. It's good for a salty fix...

I actually looked at the Crazy Bread recipie after I posted this. After I get to the store I'm going to have to try that one. It sounds like it would be perfect for my tastes.

Celery has high sodium. Maybe make ants on a log with almond butter in the celery and top with raisins. Someone already suggested tomatos with a sprinkling of sea salt--one of my absolute favorite things on earth.
